Addenda and Amendments

Note: Use an ADDENDUM when you want to include additional information or a document to an unexecuted agreement.

Note: Use an AMENDMENT when making changes to a fully executed agreement.

Addendum To Agreement (UT Procuring a Service)

This addendum is required to ensure a contractor’s agreement is compliant with the UT System Board of Regents’ Rules and Regulations and State of Texas laws. If you are a department within The University of Texas at Austin, and you are working on a contractor’s agreement, this addendum must be completed and attached to your paperwork. For example, if you are a university department working on a contract with Microsoft, and Microsoft provides its own contract template/agreement, this addendum needs to be included when you submit your respective department’s paperwork to Business Contracts. For additional guidance on negotiating contract terms and clauses, please see our Contract Formation and Negotiation on our Training Materials and Guides page.
